Product description

Beautifully crafted Kadai style fire bowl that comes with the Stand, Half Moon BBQ Rack and FREE pair of Fire Pit Gloves and Marshmallow Fork

These fire bowls are made from recycled steel in India and are basically copies of the old original cooking pot. They are lightweight and portable and have a rustic look as they will weather and oxidise, developing their own natural patina. The half moon BBQ rack sits on top of th fire bowl allowing you to control and refuel the fire whilst cooking. They have a water drainage hole covered with a disc to prevent the ash falling through.

The Half Moon BBQ Rack and Stand are included in the price.

Variations

The Indian Fire Bowls are available in three different sizes: 60, 70 and 80cm. The stands are not attached to the bowl.

The fire pit comes with a protective coating of oil which will burn off after first use. This does not affect their longevity or durability. The Indian Fire Bowls are made in India from 1.5mm recycled steel which has naturally occurring blemishes which can mean slight variations in the forging and finish. They will oxidise over time and turn from graphite to an autumnal russet patina.

Fire pit care: fire up your fire pit and grill to burn off the protective oil. You can remove the rust as it oxidises with a wire brush and then oiled, but the rust doesn’t affect use or durability. Avoid putting the BBQ rack over high flames as the steel will warp under high temperatures. To cook over your fire pit, you want the flames to die down and leave the cooking embers behind. Or use an ash rake to separate the embers from the flames and position your BBQ rack over the cooking embers.
