About
From humble beginnings
Based in North Yorkshire, DIY Terrariums is a hobby that got out of control! Started at the very end of 2019; I (Poppy) wanted a way to keep the more troublesome plants alive. I had a small fittonia that I could not rescue - so I put it in a jar! And, within days, it thrived.
This is where my love for terrariums started, and I wanted to help other people realise that they're better gardeners than they think. My business has grown so much in a short time, we've gone from packing orders after work in our tiny bungalows' living room, to moving to a spacious workspace in the countryside.
This business has allowed myself and my partner to leave our jobs and pursue it full time, and we are constantly looking to expand and for new ideas.
We're found in various boutique Brick and Mortar shops across Yorkshire, and you'll often see us at Artisan Markets throughout the year selling our pre-made handmade Terrariums. Here on our online shop, we offer you DIY kit versions of our most popular designs.
