A Scandi Christmas decoration for your tree, this intricate little light-up house can be personalised with all your own details.
Here at Betsy Benn we love a miniature house at Christmas time - there's just something magical and maybe a little elf-like about them. And ones that can hold a tea light, or a secret little tree gift are even better. So we felt inspired to design our own.
We cut each piece of the house individually from a beautiful cherry veneer that we have sourced in the UK. Then we personalised the front and the side and assemble the houses in our studio before carefully boxing up and sending out to you.
Variations
What says Christmas more than having your family around you at home by the warm glow of an open fire? This was the feeling we were aiming to capture when we designed these beautiful Christmas tree decorations.
The areas that can be personalised are:
- The family name on the wreath that hangs on the door.
- The house number and road name - make it special to the home where you're celebrating your first or twenty-first Christmas together.
- Do you have a cat or dog, we can engrave a silhouette of a cat or dog, waiting patiently to come in by the front door. If you have neither then we'll replace the pets with some beautiful bay trees, or you can keep it plain.
These are perfectly sized to hold an LED tea light and look stunning when lit. Two or three grouped together make a beautiful shelf arrangement. Please look at our other products for different sized houses.
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE REAL TEA LIGHTS OR CANDLES IN THE HOUSE AS IT WILL POSE A FIRE HAZARD.

These unique decorations are made by Betsy Benn in our small studio in Cheltenham from cherry wood veneer sourced in the UK. The tree decoration is strung with red satin ribbon to make it ready to hang on your tree.
We've found a great and sustainably sourced cherry wood veneer for this personalised decoration from some wonderful timber merchants practically on our doorstep. It means we can keep our carbon footprint low which is really important to us.
As a natural product, there may be some variations in the colour and texture of the wood, including thinner or thicker growth patterns from the tree and the odd knot or burr in the wood. This is what makes natural wood so beautiful and is part of the product, not a flaw.
