Ammonite Wooden Hanging Decoration

A lovely wooden ammonite decoration, strung from a ribbon made from recycled plastic

Pleuroceras solare (n) - a species of ammonite from the lower Jurassic, upper Pliensbachian period. Species of this genus were fast-moving nektonic carnivores. Shells can reach about 45 mm in diameter.

This ammonite has been hand painted in watercolour before being digitally printed in the UK onto 3mm laser cut birch wood and strung on a satin ribbon. It’s a miniature work of art, perfect for hanging on Christmas trees, use it to finish an extra special present, or for decorating the house all year round!
