The intricately coiled filigree wire creates a surface pattern which catches the light beautifully.
This technique of filling gaps with finely twisted wire comes from the city of Taxco in Mexico where this craft has been used for hundreds of years. It is very skilled and challenging work, and each piece is handmade with care.
