Pleuroceras solare (n) - a species of ammonite from the lower Jurassic, upper Pliensbachian period. Species of this genus were fast-moving nektonic carnivores. Shells can reach about 45 mm in diameter.
This ammonite has been hand drawn in pencil before being digitally printed in the UK onto responsibly sourced laser cut cherry wood. They are then hand-assembled by Maddie in her studio, using Sterling Silver findings and attached to a backing card.
