Vickysworld is the illustration work of illustrator and paper cutting extraordinaire Vicky Scott. Vicky loves to create illustrations that let the viewer escape to magical worlds, full of bright colours, friendly animals, retro imagery and hidden details that will keep the viewer wanting to come back for more! Most of all she loves creating artwork that puts a smile on the viewers face, something which makes her prints the perfect gift and her cards so popular.

Vicky grew up in South West London near Richmond Park, which must have influenced her love of drawing all things animal based! She now lives near the seaside in sunny Brighton, whose nautical influences are seeping into her work too.

As a huge fan of all things retro, in particular Art Deco, William Morris and 1960's psychedelic posters, it's important to Vicky that all illustrations start off with a hand drawn sketch. The next stage, for the majority of her pieces is to trace the design out onto pieces of coloured paper or card. She then puts these together (like a very elaborate jigsaw puzzle!) before scanning them into Photoshop, from which they can be turned into prints, cards and badges. All her prints are limited edition digital prints, printed with a professional quality Epson printer, using archival inks and archival papers. Prints come mounted in a lovely textured off white mount, in a cellophane bag with a certificate of authenticity. Cards come printed on high quality white card, with a white envelope and cellophane bag too.

Vicky’s illustrations always tell a story so are wonderful designs for children’s rooms, weddings and Valentine’s Day gifts, a cheeky little present for yourself or just a great way to tell someone you are thinking of them. She is often told that her designs have a calming and uplifting feel to them, and what better way to pass on those positive feelings than to give them as a gift?
