Bridal separates inspired by original vintage, handmade in Kent for the modern, stylish bride.
Story Of My Dress was created to offer brides to be a bridal look that is stylish, but still affordable. The SOMD collection was inspired by details & fabrics from our own original vintage collection.
Our showroom in Kent offers a beautiful collection of original vintage pieces and with the help of Gillian, our in house seamstress/dressmaker, we can transform these beautiful dresses by either restoring them to their original glory or re-designing them to create a modern and stylish gown! ?
We have now created our own collection of dresses and bridal separates to sit alongside and compliment our vintage collection. The dresses are contemporary and on trend using design details & vintage elements we loved from our originals.
The new collection is handmade in a studio in Kent using quality fabrics sourced from suppliers locally.
Our dresses & separates are handmade locally in Kent using fabrics sourced from local suppliers to create a quality bridal design that will not break the bank.
The bridal separates are hand made locally by experienced dress maker Gill in her studio at home. The designs are based on modern trends but using design details or fabrics we absolutely loved from our original vintage collection.
SOMD believes a bride should not have to break the bank to create a totally wow, unique, on trend and stylish bridal look.
