The Matthew, a replica of the ship sailed by John Cabot from Bristol to North America in 1497, is a familiar sight along Bristol's Harbourside. With trips down the river and out to the sea it is a great sight sailing around the harbour and a fun day out. Having been named Best City and European Green Capital, Bristol is known for its cultural buzz and historical diversity.
