'The Veggie One' Pasty Treat Box

It is the flaky pastry in this recipe that sets these pasties aside from the more traditional shortcrust variety. It is often compared to puff pastry but includes the important process of leaving layers visible throughout, that when baked create crispy golden flakes. All of our vegetables are grown within 5 miles of our bakeries, choosing to stick to the traditional pasty fillings of potato, onion and swede- you'll find no peas or carrots here!

As well as pasties, this hamper also includes our Lotus biscoff cookie bars as well as our moreish scones, clotted cream and Cornish strawberry jam to have with your cuppa of choice along with our traditional Cornish Heavy cake.*

*If you're wondering...a cornish heavy cake is a cinnamon spiced dough with dried fruit, baked into a warming crumbly cake dusted with sugar.
