This original oil painting was inspired by a visit to the Northumberland coastline with its beautiful view of Lindisfarne. It was painted with sponaeity and fluidity in a bright vibrant palette to capture the energy and atmosphere of this iconic landmark steeped in history.
I use a high quality cotton canvas for my paintings. It's called a box canvas or 'deep edge' canvas meaning it is wide at the edges and does not need to be framed. This gives it a modern contemporary look.
