Exclusive silk flower and orchid arrangements and luxury Christmas decorations .

Welcome to FLOWERS BY DESIGN , my small business from home on the edge of the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria.

With almost 25 years of experience in fresh flower arranging and working as a freelance Wedding Florist , I have now returned to my first love of creating luxury handcrafted and very realistic artificial faux silk flower arrangements.

Using only the best quality materials, I have created an exclusive range of floral decor highlighting Orchids , Poppies , Thistles and seasonal flowers alongside my new range of on trend foliage, cacti and succulents .

Orchids are my speciality with their stunning colours and graceful arching stems making a statement in any room of the home .

In addition, I make a varied selection of handcrafted Christmas decorations , including wreaths, swags and Christmas flower arrangements. To complement these , I also have a carefully curated range of Christmas and decorative items designed to complement all styles of the home all year round..

All the items in my shop are designed and handcrafted by myself , creating unique , original and realistic floral decor. My designs incorporate natural twigs , canes and moss to complement the faux silk elements , bringing them to life and making them look incredibly realistic and natural yet designed to be stylishly contemporary .

Using only the best of materials and taking care to complement flower with vase or pot, I take inspiration from the colours , forms , shapes and textures I find in my garden and of the Lake District and Scottish Hills around me .

I hope to transfer some if this inspiration into your home or for you to send as a gift for Birthdays , Anniversaries , Mothers Day or Christmas .
