Whether showcasing your treasures or keeping your accessories organised, the versatile NEERJA basket set sits beautifully on any mantelpiece, hallway shelf, desk or dressing table.Handmade in a small workshop in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. The women makers all live locally and work flexible hours around family commitments. The artisans sit on the padded workshop floor, using their toes to keep the decorations in place while hand-stitching and threading our decorations and felt dining range. AURA QUE started working with the group in 2019.

Made from
Carefully hand-felted from 100% raw sheep wool with soap and water. The felt is made in sheets or moulded round a wooden resist, dried in the sun on the workshop roof and then hand-stitched in the workshop. The shades of grey, brown and cream are completely natural, while other colours are produced using azo-free dyes. Wool is a natural insulator, with high breathability, and it resists odours due to its natural antibacterial properties. Wool is one of the most sustainable fabrics in existence; renewable and biodegradable, it requires relatively little water for its production. Our wool is mulesing free.
Care instructions: Spot clean with damp cloth. Do not submerge in water.
