Unusual, alternative seed packet Christmas cards with a fabulous badger design, pack of 10. The seed packets are 100% recycled and recyclable, contain no plastic in the seed sachets (our sachets are made from glassine paper), and British wildflower species. Comes with 10 recycled envelopes. Each seed packet measures 9 x 12 cm.
Sowing instructions are on the back and there is room on the flap at the top of the packet to write your Christmas message.
These seed packets make great alternative Christmas cards, so much better than your usual card which ends up in landfill or being recycled - this card will keep giving, even in the summer, with beautiful wildflowers to help our butterflies, bees and other insects. They also make great stocking fillers!
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets. Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable. It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.
There are 7 species of wildflower in this mix, which is our own bespoke mix. The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only - all of them are amazing for insects! Our seed grower keeps traceable records of their seeds and is inspected annually by DEFRA, so you can be sure you are getting a quality product. You will get about a gram or so of seeds, enough to create a 1 metre square wildflower patch.
The seeds are Ladies Bedstraw, Teasel, Lesser Knapweed, Ox-eye Daisy, Selfheal, Musk Mallow and Wild Carrot.
