Manopoulos – Premium Brass Pewter Staunton Chess Set

We love the Antique colour and feel of the Staunton Chess pieces which look great against the walnut oak chess board and is a premium Chess set. The Staunton chess pieces are named after Howard Staunton who was widely considered to be one of the best players in the world. The knight, the most intricate and distinct piece of any chess set, is a realistically carved horse head. The Staunton Knight was likely inspired by a sculpture on the east pediment of the Parthenon. The Metal Staunton by Manopoulos reinforces this architectural history of the original pieces while respecting their timeless design.

The Chess Board is made from Walnut & Oak and looks modern, smart & luxurious. The Chessmen are made from Zinc Alloy and present in silver and gold colours. The Wooden Storage Box is made from Laminated wood in wenge colour.
