Nestled in the charming City of Wells - the smallest yet arguably one of the most beautiful cities in England - TINIT emerged from a spark of necessity and a whirlwind of creativity.

Founded by Oscar, a 21-year-old design engineering student, TINIT's journey began when he was helping his parents renovate a cozy cottage. In his search for a stylish way to store firelighters, he wanted a solution that wouldn’t just hide the garish orange packaging and protect against pets and children but also complement the warm, inviting atmosphere of the eclectic cottage. Frustratingly, nothing fit his vision, so he decided to create one himself.

From that moment of inspiration, TINIT was born. What started as a single, funky firelighter tin quickly transformed into a passion project as compliments from guests poured in. Their intrigue ignited Oscar's desire to craft more unique tins, turning functional storage into beautiful gifts that people are proud to display.

Oscar channels his engineering and design background into every detail, ensuring that even the backs of the tins are thoughtfully designed (just look at the seed tin and playing card tin). Each design begins as a simple pencil sketch, evolving through many iterations into the finished product you see today. Every tin features a subtle yet purposeful combination of matte and glossy finishes, bringing the designs to life as they catch the light.
