The Things We Like
TIME AND TOAST was founded in 2016, by London-based designer maker Nicola Penny.
It’s a celebration of some of life’s daily rituals and simple foodie pleasures, taking inspiration from Nicola’s love of food, art and type. Her limited run homewares and paper goods include a minimalist monochrome celebration of tea and coffee drinking, an English classic given a fresh modern twist, in the form of her Blue Willow Deconstructed range, and the rich, darkly hued Butterflies and Blooms collection. A characteristic love of wordplay, humour and colour is also evident across her range of typographic and illustrated greetings cards, which aim to resonate with the recipient - by being about 'the things they like'.
Using only the best quality fine English bone china, made in Stoke-on-Trent, Nicola creates small batches of her individually hand-decorated designs in London. Her greetings cards are printed on premium quality smooth matt white FSC accredited card in the UK.
