Clematis ‘Blue Angel’ is a Viticella-group clematis celebrated for its durability, vigour, and long-lasting floral display. Originally bred in Poland and internationally recognised for its outstanding performance, it has earned the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, making it a trusted choice for gardeners seeking both beauty and reliability.
The flowers are medium to large, typically bearing four to six petals that open into a soft, open star shape. The petals are a refined lavender-blue, often with a silvery undertone that becomes more pronounced in bright daylight.
