Note from maker: My ceramics are made in small batches in my studio and are not mass produced. As they are handmade like this, each one is unique, has its own charm and not a single one is the same so they could appear to have small differences from the image shown. However do I try to match the size, colour, pattern and shape to my best ability.
From the method I make and fire my ceramics I am unable to glaze the bottom (this is because it would melt to the kiln shelf in the firing) but I sand it afterwards to make it smooth. I make the stand and the plate separately and bond them together after they are fired, this is because I found the weight of the plate would droop and warp around the stand when the clay becomes molten again in the firing, so it is to ensure the plate is flat to hold the cake.
Available in small or large. Small is great for cupcakes or smaller cakes and large is more suitable for regular sized cakes. Both put together creates a 2 tier cupcake stand which looks fantastic!
