Clay creates the perfect base for my work, allowing vibrant bursts of colour and delightful textures to be accentuated by simple forms. It also offers the opportunity for continuous learning and exploration of the processes and techniques used in the craft!

I enjoy the freedom of creating jewellery in a fluid way – designing as I make – which helps create idiosyncratic and charming objects. Realising the importance of handmade objects in the current climate of mass-produced products, I'm always mindful to allow all the components I create to become distinctive and for each of them to take on their own characteristics.

Graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a BA Hons in Decorative Arts and I currently work from a studio space within The brickworks, in Ouseburn Newcastle.
