At Rachel Pettitt Designs I endeavour to bring a little bit of the seaside into your home.....minus the sand!

Working from my white washed garden studio with 'Cooper' my ball crazed Border Terrier for company, I work with seaside coloured paints and simple wooden shapes. My many day trips to Aldeburgh and Southwold on the Suffolk coast and numerous Cornish holidays have inspired me to design and make boats which are fun, cute and pleasing on the eye.

Perfect for newborns, birthdays or alternative Christening gifts, the boats are equally charming for little boys or girls to have in their rooms.

I source as much of my work materials as I can from small independent UK suppliers and all the boat bases are cut out by myself from birch plywood. This year I have developed a new range of boats, as my best selling personalised boat from the last six years has now been retired from service.

My little boats have journeyed all over the world to customers....some heading off in fleets....but mostly single vessel adventures!

I hope this year will be another busy time at the boatyard, with lots of lovely orders and happy customers!
