A: Personalisation is making something unique or specific to that person. Basically, it’s taking an item or a gift and then turbo-charging it with emotion. You can add a name, a message, a date, or the perfect in-joke. Literally anything you want, but it helps if it means something.

Q: How to personalise items in different ways?

A: Names are lovely and classic. But unless you’re paying by character count, why not get your money’s worth and add some song lyrics? Maybe the whole song! Also, you don’t always have to use words - you can also say it with personalised flowers, a birthstone or a favourite colour.

Q: Why do people personalise things?
