About
Sustainably made brass mobiles and lightcatchers.
My name is Sam and I am the designer-maker behind Peppy Sun. I grew up in the northwest of England and I am now based in Hampshire. I design and make all of the mobiles, wallhangings, and lightcatchers from my home studio.
Inspiration for my work comes from walks in the local countryside, visiting the seaside, and Victorian design: ironwork, geometric shapes, and floral patterns in particular.
After graduating in 3 Dimensional Design at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2010, I worked with a variety of jewellers and makers but found myself drawn to homeware especially researching and experimenting with my love of brass, combining that with my love of home, and making it feel special.
