Hi! Welcome to my little world where I make gifts with an ethnic twist. I am Seema and, as the name suggests, the woman behind Made by Seema. I am the designer, maker and everything in between. I make items from clay and also paint in a little corner of my garage. Based in Wembley, London, where there is so much diversity that you can't help be inspired.
It all started a few years ago after having my second child. I needed a creative outlet so started painting candles and papercutting. Over the years it evolved and now I mostly work with air dry clay. I also have fun designing wooden plaques and painting decorations. I love getting creative with colour.
I am a British Indian born in Kenya. This background is what influences my designs so there is definitely an Indian twist to most of my designs with a bit of an African feel thrown in. I also adore Japanese and Chinese art so some of my pieces may reflect that. An eclectic mix of cultures. A bit like me.
