I’ve always been drawn to watches, especially the way they glow. While luminous technology isn’t new, it was during a trip to Bali in the summer of 2023 that I began a deep dive into the science behind it. What started as curiosity quickly turned into an obsession with how light can be stored, transformed, and worn.
Each evening, I noticed my watch glowing more vividly than ever, and something shifted. It wasn’t just about function anymore. The idea that it was glowing from the sun’s energy, absorbed during the day and released into the night, really stayed with me. There was something quietly powerful about wearing light, and carrying it forward.
LU&ME is designed to feel a little different - but still familiar. Enamel jewellery has been around for centuries, and glow pigments have existed for decades. But until now, they’ve all been grouped under one label: glow-in-the-dark. We wanted to change that, to reimagine it as something meaningful, modern, and beautifully wearable.
