We realised that a horse trailer/box is the perfect shape for a bird box so we made a horse trailer bird box!
Our personalised horse trailer bird box will make a fabulous and unusual gift for a retirement, house-warming, birthday, wedding, anniversary, and a variety of other special occasions too. It would be an ideal gift for a horse loving wife, husband, mum, dad, sibling, friend, neighbour, (or anyone else you can think of!) and would make a very unusual talking point in any garden. Perfect for someone who owns a horse - or who wishes they did!
Variations
The horse trailer bird box can be painted in a choice of colours and has 2 horse motifs painted on it. The doors - left hand side and right hand side - can have 2 words of up to 12 characters each and the numberplate can be personalised with up 10 characters.
Thanks go to the horses in the paddock which is at the bottom of our back garden. They are used to us taking product photos on the boundary fence and generally ignore us unless they smell apples, but this time 2 of them decided to take a much closer look!

Our personalised horse trailer bird box is carefully handmade by us here at Lindleywood, We have been handcrafting our painted wooden boxes since 2008 from high-grade sustainable European redwood pine (known as Scot's Pine) supplied by a small local woodmerchant.They are then handpainted with water-based wood paints suitable for exterior use. These paints, by a very small independent British manufacturer from the northwest of England (who have been creating paints since 1773), enable us to create beautiful products that are non-toxic to plants and wildlife.
The roof lifts off for easy cleaning , the box comes with full mounting and care instructions (we even include the screws) and it is a usable bird box suitable for birds like sparrows and blue tits.
Important Note regarding colours: The colours shown on our paint chart are the colours we have available as standard. Please note that although we have tried to accurately portray these colours, Internet browsers and screens may cause colours to appear slightly differently.
PLEASE NOTE that all items are individually handmade and personalised by us in the UK and each one takes time to produce. Because of the handmade nature, one item will differ slightly from another and may not appear exactly as in the photographs of other products. This means that each product is entirely unique and extremely individual!
Also note that as we make each item from wood there may some variation in grain. Over time there may also be movement in joints and surfaces. This is down to the nature of ‘real wood' as opposed to synthetic materials and we feel further adds to the individuality of each product.
