Learn how to carve your own bamboo dip pen, create a beautiful otter and wildflower illustration, and raise money for charity in one gift.
On 26th April 2025 I am running a live online workshop to teach how to carve your own bamboo pen and use it to create a guided step-by-step illustration, all of which will help raise money for the UK Wild Otter Trust. Focusing on a vibrant otter portrait surrounded by a wreath of wildflowers as a final piece, you'll also learn a whole range of mark-making, colour mixing and illustrative techniques. You can attend the live class, but also have unlimited access to the video tutorial to enjoy at your own convenience at a later date if you prefer.
You’ll receive a craft box in the post the week before the workshop with a link to the live video, your own ready-made bamboo pen, inks, worksheets and papers so you’ll have everything you need. Suitable for ages 7+. The amount I am able to donate to the charity will depend on the number bookings for the workshop: 1-25 attendants will mean that I can donate £5 per order, and any number over that will mean I can send half of the ticket price straight to UK Wild Otter Trust.
