Hand Painted Papier Mache Bird of Paradise Bauble 2.

This lovely bauble is made by hand using traditional Kashmiri methods.

The technique involves the mixing of recycled paper pulp with water, which is then placed in a mould. The moulds are then painted using colours made from organic pigments (plants and minerals) and finally given a lacquer coating.
