Escape from the mundane, with a personalised travel journal where you choose an original map for the front cover.
Old maps are full of interest and appeal to many people, especially if they are of a significant place. When you choose the country or continent to be featured on the front of this themed notebook it will add to the enjoyment of nature lovers, walkers, explorers and especially that hard to buy for man.
This is a kit book that mean choices can be made, with the decorative pages put into an order that suits its use. They can even be filled before the notebook is bound together which really gives control of the creative process.
When ordering the travel journal kit you can request the continent or country you would like to be on the front cover with every effort made to accomodate you, otherwise it will be a random choice.
This is what is in the kit:
A cardboard front and back cover, 6 pages made from a variety of original maps, 28 themed pages (2 of each colour or pattern), linen thread, a self sticking name label, 2 pegs for clamps, a wire coil to help align the pages and instructions. Nothing else is required to make the notebook.
The name label can be personalised or left blank to be filled in by the recipient.
You can enhance your notebook with images and text supplied in themed collage packs. Cut out and stick pictures on or use the decorative backgrounds for highlighting photos and sketches. Choose from a travel, coast, nature or vintage selection.
The A5 size notebook comes in a decorated cardboard gift box with a themed tag.
The book materials are paper and card. Many of the pages are re-used (maps and envelopes) or recycled (made from paper that has been collected and reprocessed).
The pages are collected, chosen, cut and punched by hand. Although they are made with love and care this can lead to small irregularities which should be considered as a feature rather than a problem. As they are reused some of the paper can be crumpled, have rough edges or be marked, this is a deliberate aspect of the design and helps add character to the book.
The book is A5, 21 x 15 cm, a handy size to carry and explore with.
The box fits through a standard letterbox and is wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve.
