Gitas Portal (GP) is a London-based, family-owned and female-led lifestyle brand promoting the aesthetic beauty and quality of African prints through a strong and diverse range of ready-to-wear apparel, accessories, homeware and gifts.

Established in 2011, GP has championed innovation, diversity and excellence in the creative industry promoting a positive narrative about ‘Brand Africa’ through superb quality products and excellent customer experiences. GP has been featured on 25+ media platforms and counting.

GP was founded on the simple premise to make a difference and touch lives through the medium of bold and colourful textiles to create an array of quality products that highlight creative diversity; and how we as a business can and are impacting communities positively, while reducing waste in the creative production process.

We do this by actively seeking out or creating opportunities to engage in activities that promote:

Value Beyond Profit - beyond making profit to making a difference in the community and the world. Supporting Charities like Melqosh mission to raise funds for educational and medical missions for war amputees in Sierra Leone.

Women's Empowerment - to inspire and empower women to pursue their dreams, lead with confidence and impact their communities. The launch of ‘Our Stories Can Change the World’ campaign.

Sustainability – to reduce wastage by continuously creating alternative products from what is left over from one creative production process to another
