The focus on this piece was an experimentation of colour and texture. Growing up I would pour through books by Graham Base, and adored his Animalia puzzles. I love playing with the idea of hidden creatures and working within limited colour palettes. Creating this piece was a turning point for my illustrations, Using more texture to the work, and a slightly darker twist.
