These handmade metal decorations are produced by 'Tinker Tailor Ltd' based in London who have outsourced the production to a small city recognised as India’s capital for hand-crafted metalwork known as Pital Nagri which literally means “Brass City”.
The decorations are made from iron sheets. The sheets are procured from an established registered dealer known for their quality. The round shapes are dye cut, rounded to form the convex shape, welded, grinding and powder coated, before they are baked in an oven to form a blemish free base to apply the design on and prevent rusting. This coating also helps to add sheen to the finished product and increases the life of the product.
Each piece is hand crafted and the gold painted edge done freehand.
All offcuts at each stage of the manufacturing process are collected and recycled. Each of the ribbon hangers with bow are hand tied by their dedicated team. Printing is done off site at specialist printers using branded machinery for quality and lead free ink.
