A unique family keepsake: a custom crossword designed from family names so that all family members are shown together, interconnected, on one print. And at the beginning or end of each name, we print that person's birthday (day and month) - no more excluses about forgotten birthdays!
It's a great gift for grandparents because you can include all the grandchildren on the print.
You can add the family surname to the print - this personalised family print is a lovely gift for granny and grandad!
Variations
VARIATIONS AND PERSONALISATION
- personalised with family forenames (between 4 and 8 names) and birthday dates (days and month)
- optional family surname (we print this as a title where there is space on the crossword - often at the bottom of the print but since the design of each crossword is different it may be located elsewhere)
- colours - aqua, blue, dusky rose, green, mono and purple
For the crossword we remove spaces and punctuation (so EMMA-JANE is printed as EMMAJANE). Each name can be up to 10 letters long. We print the names exactly as you send them so please double-check spellings! If you send the same name twice, we'll include them both - please take care not to send us duplicates by mistake!
Your crossword may be portrait or landscape - the best design depends on your list of names.
In the unlikely event that it's not possible to make a crossword from the list of names you send us, we'll get in touch with you. This happens, for example, when one of the names has no letters in common with any of the other names. In this case we can usually add another word (LOVE or FAMILY, for example) but we'll agree this with you before deciding what to do next.

UNFRAMED PRINTS
- printed with high quality inks for excellent fade resistance and color reproduction
- available on matte paper or a preimum heavyweight fine art paper
- available in standard sizes so they will fit into standard size picture frames that are widely available, both online and in the shops
CANVAS PRINTS
- ready to hang, canvas prints are wrapped and stretched on an 18mm pine box frame (frame not visible from the front of the print). There's a close-up picture of the rearside of the canvas prints in the image gallery.
FRAMED PRINTS
- 25mm smooth matte black frames. A4 and A3 frames have 2mm glass with an MDF backing board, A2 frames have 2mm styrene with an MDF backing board. Frames are manufactured in the UK from high-quality solid wood and come complete with hanging fixings.
- frames are great for convenience (they're ready to hang) or if you want to send a gift direct to the recipient, but you'll find more choice (of prices, styles and colours) if you buy your own frame locally
