In 2016, Boo Chi founder and owner, Eaoifa Forward took a break and travelled to Sri Lanka to work with a yoga and meditation teacher. It was here she was introduced to a magical traditional drink called kombucha.
Kombucha mentally and physically revitalised & energised her and she wanted to know why. With a scientific background in chemistry she learnt there was a physiological link between a healthy gut and a healthy mind & body.
Kombucha delivers good bacteria; vitamins, enzymes and various beneficial acids that help fuel the gut-brain connection. The impact of this elixir set Eaoifa on a new journey, to create her own brand, using only traditional far eastern methods making sure the product remained raw, unpasturised and unfiltered.
In 2019 Boo Chi saw a gap in the market, with kombucha being expensive to buy on a daily basis they decided to create the ultimate "home brew kit" giving the consumer all the essentials to make their very own lifetime supply from home.
We hand bottle and pack all our premium kombucha and home brew kits in our brewery in the heart of the Devon countryside.
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We source all of our materials, ingredients and packaging from the UK working with organically certified companies to purchase our tea and sugar and recyclable boxes.
We are very proud to be certified organic with the soil association, a charity based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1946, its activities include campaign work on issues including opposition to intensive farming, support for local purchasing and public education on nutrition; as well the certification of organic food.
We want the consumer to be able to take away a piece of our brewery and explore the many health benefits from drinking a real and raw kombucha on a daily basis!
Along with our best in the market "home brew kits" we also supply our Boo Chi Kombucha in four delicious flavours. Original to Balance, Turmeric and Black Pepper to Brighten, Korean Ginseng to Boost and Fresh Mint to Revive.
