Wax / Wine

Wax / Wine creates handmade candles in repurposed wine bottles collected from local bars contributing to the circular economy and minimising waste.

After spending the last decade working in hospitality I became fascinated with the industry, and concerned about the bigger environmental issues around the waste created in the food and beverage sector and thus, Wax / Wine began as a lockdown reinvention were I decided to take it upon myself to create high quality, sustainable and beautiful products out of excess materials.

Every step in the making of these products is done by hand. From collecting and cutting the wine bottles, to the artwork on the bottle, as well as blending delicious scents and hand pouring the wax.

I don't compromise on quality or product consistency. I use the best quality plant based wax, essential oils to relax you and make your home smell amazing, cork lids and crackling wooden wicks! Yes, these candles look good and smell great, but also sound like a mini fire place!

The idea to minimise carbon footprint and reduce waste by repurposing glass bottles into highly appealing lifestyle products is my passion and mission.
