About
Grain to Glass Spirits, handmade in small batches at our distillery on the Wirral
Established back in 2016, by two former corporate IT executive and long-standing fans of gin, came together to create The Wirral Distillery (as we are known locally).
2018 was a very big year for us, we where the first to create Bakewell Cherry & Almond Gin and the first Shimmer Gin on the market - we've come along way since then. Our range now stretches over 50 products and we've made bespoke products for the likes of Pretty Little Thing, Liverpool Football Club & Bulldog Skincare.
At the end of 2023, one of our directors sold his shares to Jonpaul - Jonpaul was part owner of Sea Ridge Distillery at the time. With our remaining original director looking to retire in the coming Spring, it made sense for Jonpaul to become the sole owner of The Handmade Gin Company.
Sea ridge Distillery was founded in 2021 by Jonpaul Stanhope and James white with a vision to create wonderful grain to glass products using local botanicals for all to enjoy. Started off making Gin with Heswall Gin being the jewel of the early creations along with High Tide an overproof Gin, and naturally flavoured rhubarb, raspberry and limoncello Gins.
Sea Ridge Distillery officially moved in with The Handmade Gin Company in Spring 2024.
