Unique recycled Thames glass bracelet.
This bracelet is made out of 8 small nuggets of glass that I found on the banks of the Thames in London. I recycled the pieces of glass in my kiln, to make them into nuggets.
The last photo shows what the glass looks like when I find it.
The pieces of glass glow in beautiful watery colours. They are similar to sea glass. Some are transparent and some are opaque - I never know how they are going to turn out of the kiln.Bottles have been thrown into the river for hundreds of years - the glass is hard to date...
Each piece of glass had a custom bezel (frame) individually made out of fine and sterling silver. All the metal work is hand made by me, and I have designed it to be sturdy and comfortable to wear.
Recyceld glass, silver.
All the metalwork is fine (pure) and sterling silver. This piece has been hallmarked in London which includes the Jubliee hallmark, only available in 2012, the Jubilee year.
The bracelet measures 20 cm and closes with a toggle clasp. It will fit most wrists.
