Totally Solid Showers

In the beginning on 2019 I started to feel frustrated about the amount of shower gel bottles I was getting through myself and decided I wanted to find an option that was plastic free.

On average each person uses 10-14 bottles of gel a year. That doesn’t sound too much when you just look at your own little pile, but imagine what that pile looks like through your immediate family, then your street, your city… and then the whole of the UK.

Unfathomable, right?

I picked up a bunch of different products and I struggled to find one that I could really get on board with. They were either too drying on my skin, or far too expensive to consider for regular usage.

Frustrated that I couldn't find the right product on the market for me, I decided to make a plastic free shower gel myself. One that didn’t compromise.

Over the course of 9 months (2020 lockdown really accelerated things), I learned to make cosmetics from scratch and set about creating Shower Blocks.

As you can imagine there was a lot of learning and a LOT of trial and error involved, but not one to give up (insert montage), I got there in the end.

SHOWER BLOCKS are bubbly, hydrating and totally plastic free alternatives to shower gel, here to remove single use plastics from showers all over the UK.
