Moments to refresh, recharge and rejuvenate.

When lockdown hit in March 2020, I was working full time as an accountant and had just launched my first small business, a sustainable gifting, and homewares marketplace. I am also a single Mum to two beautiful girls; Harriet, 10 and Sophie, 12. Suddenly, I found myself at home juggling a fulltime job, a newly launched small business and home-schooling two kids single-handedly.

When things returned to some semblance of normal and some pressure was lifted, my façade slipped, and I fell into a black hole. I struggled to get out of bed for a fortnight and barely functioned. I realised I had completely burnt out. I had spent the last 18 months or so putting everyone and everything else first and hadn’t remembered to look after myself and my own wellbeing.

I wish someone had been there during lockdown to give me a gentle nudge to remind me to practice some self-care. Whether that was in the form of a hot bath, a walk without my phone in my hand, to journal or to simply sit in the garden with a brew for 20 minutes.

It was this realisation that sparked the idea of ReBox in my mind. ReBox isn’t designed to solve the problem of feeling overworked and exhausted, no box of products can achieve that – ReBox is here to serve as that little nudge you might need to remind you to stop and take moments in your day to pause. Moments to recharge, refresh and rejuvenate. It is a box packed full of items to encourage you to look after yourself – both your mental and physical wellbeing.
