Pickled Pepper Books is a specialist children’s bookshop and events space in Crouch End, North London.
Pickled Pepper Books was established by parents Steven Pryse and Urmi Merchant in 2012, providing a family friendly environment in which to experience the tactile nature of choosing books for and with kids.
In September 2021 we opened a pop up at the Culture Palace in Enfield Town. This is a wonderful community arts space where we collaborate with The Dugdale Theatre, Enfood Cafe & The Museum of Enfield.
Our managers, Tara Pahari and Freddie Ruddock both programme children's book based events, theatre, workshops and storytimes in each respective shop.
New releases hand-chosen by our expert Book Fairies for children of all ages and tastes and curated book bundles for an easy gift!
How our subscriptions work:
Select a Book Subscription order for either 3, 6 or 12 months.
Leave a note for the Book Fairies if you have a special request or would like to tell us some more about the child you are gifting to. For example the last few books they enjoyed reading, their interests or any details about them you think might help!
The first delivery will contain one wrapped hardback book. From then on, our Book Fairies will select two newly published paperback books, wrap them beautifully and arrange delivery directly.
Books will be delivered monthly to your child(ren)'s doorstep - anywhere in the UK! Subscriptions will be sent out in the second week of each month
Book Bundles:
We know how tricky and time-consuming it can be to pick out a selection of books. Our Book Fairies have taken the hassle out with our curated book bundles which centre on themes within each age range, such as our Animal Book Bundle for toddlers.
