They have been tested to use with a maximum wattage bulb of 40 watts.
However - LED lamps between 2 and 5 watts are the best – the higher the wattage and lumens ( e.g. 5 watts ), the brighter it will be. For a more ambient glow, use a set of LED fairy lights or a lower wattage lamp ( e.g. 2 watts )
Variations
Beads of delicate green light are picked out against flashes of scarlet and an exquisitely etched lush green background. Tissue paper inserts soften the light and cast a gentle glow.

To open, hold star flat, place one hand inside one of the outer points and gently ease point outwards.
Carefully repeat the first step with remaining points. Ensure each point is fully open before moving on to the next.
Using the two cords provided, gently bring the two outer points together. If illuminating, place over light source and tie cords firmly to secure in place. Do not pull the cords to open your star.
