Great for low ceilings with a quality aesthetic, giving off useful lighting downwards as well as an uplifting glow to wash the ceiling with light. Perfect for high or low ceilings as it looks good near the ceiling and also hung low in a tall space. Great in dining areas, hallways and reception rooms with its comforting all over glow and useful clear downlighting. Good for contemporary spaces, mid century modern interiors and solid rustic rooms with its sober but calm and organic form.
Variations
Etheletta was conceived as a little sister to the 600mm diameter Ethel. 'Inverse' - the open-base version of the 420mm Etheletta is perfect for work spaces and dining areas with its focused beam of light descending. It's great for low ceilings, bathrooms and corridor spaces as well as being fantastic in multiples for open areas.
One Foot Taller products are made in small factories and workshops in Scotland and France.

Lampshade has a 40mm hole for use with E27 fittings (but for golfball size bulbs only). Also supplied with a reducing ring (30mm diameter hole) which gives the option to use E14 fitting if preferred.
