The Gossamer collection is inspired by delicate, woodland forms, the half light of dawn and dusk. 'Daphne' was an ancient Greek Dryad (a female tree spirit) who turned herself into a laurel tree to escape the unrequited amourous attentions of Apollo. He took to wearing a laurel wreath upon his head, which has been his symbol ever since.
These earrings are mounted onto silver plated ear wires as standard, with the additional option of solid 925 sterling silver ear wires. Both are hypoallergenic, though for super sensitive ears we recommend solid 925 sterling silver.
