BRAND
Luminarium is a slow fashion, jewellery brand. Taking a sustainable approach, we focus on versatility with use of recycled materials such as glass and vintage beads. Handmade to last, almost each piece in the collection can be connected and mixed & matched to spark the creativity and be reused in many different ways. Each order comes in a handmade dust bag made of natural or recycled materials and always plastic free, compostable beautiful packaging.
We are donating £10 monthly to the 'SEA LEGACY' Non for profit supporting the global movement for a healthy ocean
LUMINARIUM MATERIALS
RECYCLED GLASS BEADS
The glass beads in our jewellery are made from the glass bottles, collected from the landfill. These are processed by hand by local communities of Java, Indonesia in a traditional way originating from Ghana, where part of our glass beads also come from. The artisans we work with are always paid the price they decide on, making sure the trade is ethical.

Behind the project stand two sisters, who share a passion for low impact living and use their skills and experience to create a brand which reflects their beliefs. Alicja, the older sister is an accomplished designer with years of working in the fashion industry. Marta is a creative writer, and responsible for creating engaging content focused on Luminarium mission to promote craftsmanship and slow fashion. ‘The main problem is not the companies who operate on a massive scale, but people who are still willingly buying their products. In the past decades our societies were convinced that civilised country is the one with most shopping malls and people being able to consume without limits, while this kind of thinking lead us to the point we are in right now. If we believe in progress, this is the only way forward- acknowledge that what we are doing is wrong. Change.
