Epoch’s foundations lie in the belief that small daily rituals form life habits which have an impact on our sense of well being. Drawing on age-old aromatherapy to encourage people to take time out of their day to check in with themselves.

Founded by Lizzy in 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, scent blends and brand conception took shape straight from her kitchen in East London. With so much time spent at home, Lizzy turned to natural remedies and aromatherapy to boost her mood. Being asthmatic led Lizzy to be conscious of home and beauty formulations, opting for gentle and natural alternatives. Surprised by the synthetic and potentially harmful ingredients in conventional candles, Epoch was born out of a desire to keep her living and breathing space clean and non-toxic.

It didn’t take long before all of the formulating, pouring and packaging needed a home of its own and Epoch took up residence in Hackney Wick, where the studio is currently run from.
