Unique Japanese woodblock print with an abstract wood grain / crown / flower pattern hand printed in browns, green, silver and gold ink.
A striking, rare Japanese art print that is quite unusual / mind-bending to look upon. The wavy wood grain pattern ascends upwards and the crown and petal designs seem to float - which gives quite a Dali-esque / Alice in Wonderland weird optical effect.
Look at it closely to see cubes of silver and dots of gold ink. You can also notice the layered brown darker ink above the two paler brown tones.
The artwork is roughly a5 in size and would make great creative eye-candy for an office or studio.
Reprinted in Japan in the 1960s, the artwork was originally printed in the early 1900s and would be a cool gift for someone with an abstract mind.
Choose to have this art print arrive in three ways, as is, simply a piece of paper; mounted (sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 " / 25.4 x 20.3 cms frame) or framed. The black and gold frame pictured is made from responsibly sourced timber with real glass from Dunhelm.
Advice for hanging: original artwork should not be hung above radiators / heat sources, nor in damp or steamy rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms or conservatories.
