Handmade Jewellery that doesn't cost the earth.
Aquila Jewellery is an independent jewellery brand located in the colourful lanes of Brighton, UK. It’s a small business that started when the Founder (Stacey) discovered her love of unique handmade jewellery. Whenever she travelled, she collected jewellery pieces and admired the contrast in designs and techniques from around the world.
With a fondness for mixed metal, gold and silver jewellery, she adored looking at local markets, watching the artisans work as they used skills and generational techniques to produce beautifully intricate designs. Admiring the incredible precision of the artisans' handheld tools, just as much as the finished products.
Many of their pieces were made using a traditional handmade jewellery technique called “Jawan” where tiny beads of silver were placed on a base metal to create intricate and often symmetrical designs.
We quickly knew that “Jawan” would be at the heart of our jewellery designs; and that this was an opportunity to blend two passions together; travel and jewellery.
And so, Aquila Jewellery was born!
