Each Anvil and Ivy piece is lovingly handcrafted in our studio, in the rural market town of Maldon. Combining age old techniques with contemporary design. We create fine and demi-fine jewellery, with a focus on soft organic form and texture. Believing in slow consumption and considered purchases, we make jewellery that tells it’s own story alongside yours.
Our jewellery is known for its unique, organic style. We love to celebrate the natural world around us and showcase the beauty of salt and pepper diamonds and other coloured gems. Our products range from silver gifts to be shared with friends all the way to engagement rings to start your love story. We make jewellery to celebrate your life journey.
Anvil and Ivy was founded in 2014 by jeweller Sophie Arnott. Based in rural Essex, Sophie began developing her signature style from within the garden shed. Jewellery making provided sanctuary and a sense of creative freedom during an otherwise troubling time.
Sophie spent several years teaching workshops in the heart of the jewellery quarter in Hatton Garden, before deciding to focus solely on her growing business. In 2016 Sophie set up her first workshop premises before moving to a High street position in 2019. Based now from a light and airy boutique in Maldon, Essex. Sophie crafts unique and unusual engagement, wedding and everyday pieces. Creativity and working with her hands gave Sophie a deeper connection to herself and to the world around her. She wanted to create jewellery that became a special part of the wearers life story.
