Inspired by Myths of the Amazon Rain Forest, the Sibling Silk illustrates the myth of the nocturnal Potoo birds who are a brother and sister abandoned in the forest, adopted by the Mother Spirit but now living in the form of colourful birds. The dark black background of the scarf contrasts beautifully with the rich colours of the flora. Inspired by the traditions of textile design, as well as modern techniques, this scarf is skillfully hand-painted, collaged and digitally printed onto fine crepe de chine silk.
