A beautiful Queen Elizabeth 2nd sixpence necklace carefully plated in 24k gold made to order in our Cambridge workshop. A genuine single sixpence coin soldered on to a gold filled jump ring, plated in 24k gold and suspended from a gold filled chain.
A perfect and on trend necklace to gift to someone special or even to be worn as bridal jewellery! This delicate piece also work very well as a layering necklace.

We only use genuine publicly circulated coins with every effort made to use those with minimal marking rejecting any that have become too worn by the hands of time. Finished necklaces may vary slightly from the images shown. Every one is handled carefully to ensure you receive the highest quality product possible. Presented in a stylish box.

Authentic cupronickel Sixpence coins - please consider nickel content if you or the recipient has a known rare allergy.
Eco-friendly and sustainable:
1. Made to order by hand in my home-based workshop so the carbon footprint is low.
2. The necklace is made from pre-circulated coins and as such I recycle metals.
3. The jewellery box is FSC certified meaning it meets the gold standard of ethical production - the wood is harvested from trees which are socially managed, environmentally conscious and economically viable.
4. Outer packaging is cardboard so can easily be recycled, void filler is from recycled shredded paper that I shred myself.
Please avoid wearing your necklace if it is likely to get wet eg, showering, swimming. It is unlikely to become damaged but excessive moisture will dull the shine quicker.
I use a palladium plate underneath the 24k gold plate. This provides some protective barrier between the skin and metal. However please note that these coins are cupronickel so please consider this if you have known severe allergies. Anyone who suspects that they or the wearer of this necklace should strongly consider if they have a nickel allergy - although I have taken steps to protect the wearer a small amount of nickel may still make contact with the skin. If you suspect you may be intolerant please consider this carefully before purchasing.
